Home-Start UK’s new strategic plan is transformative and marks a significant step forward in our thinking to grow a modern and constructive network, and help increasingly families in need, create a largest future for their children. It is a product of last year's strategic review, the feedback we received from funders and stakeholders as part of the review and, of course, the 16 Big Conversations with local Home-Starts. Download an outline of our plan Our vision: Every parent has the support they need to requite their children the weightier start in life Our ambition: To grow a modern and constructive network which can help every family in need to create a largest future The outcomes we want to achieve: growing, sustainable and constructive Home-Start network greater range and diversity of volunteer-led services greater sensation and support for Home-Starts Our targets for 2020:Increasinglythan 40,000 families supported each year Over 80% families report improvements Majority of network income outside lottery and state sourcesIncreasinglythan 20,000 volunteers with 15%+ BME & fathers One new nationwide evidence-based programme each year Majority of local Home-Starts rate Home-Start UK as constructive Over 30,000 online Home-Start UK supporters At least 25% higher public support for Home-Start Our work programmes: Network 2020 Read increasingly Network 2020 will modernise the Home-Start network with shared learning and improved translating on consortia and mergers, and innovative local, regional and national models of operation. There will be a full consultative review of the Home-Start Agreement. Share IT UK Read increasingly Share IT UK will facilitate mart of ideas, such as new family support models, external research and the latest in soft-heartedness sector thinking. Advances in data hodgepodge will enhance evaluation and requite local Home-Starts opportunities to develop new information systems. Home-SPARK Read increasingly Home-SPARK will support local PR and marketing, recruit new ambassadors, promote stronger funding relationships, and momentum greater sensation of Home-Start. A review of our corporate identity will see a trademark refresh and a Home-Start Convention 2020. Innovation Lab Read increasingly Innovation Lab will secure funding to develop, test, and scale-up nationally, heady new evidence-based family support programmes, based on both local Home-Start innovations and national projects like Big Hopes, Big Future®. Home-visiting Home-visiting support, delivered by a volunteer in a family’s own home, is at the heart of what Home-Start does.
